DAILY BREAD OF LIFE

(KJV.)  ST. JOHN 7:37-38

(37)  In the last day, that great day of the feast, Jesus stood and cried, saying.  if any man thirst, let him come unto me, and drink.
(38)  He that believeth on me, as the scripture hath said, out of his belly shall flow rivers of living water.

CHRIST THE LIVING WATER

Brethren, the mystery behind the water is powerful;  let's ponder on the following points,  (i)  in the beginning of creation, water covered the earth, the Spirit of the LORD moved upon the face of the waters. cf. Genesis 1:2;  therefore, there is a spiritual connection between water and the Spirit of the Living God, no one has yet deciphered the code, as to how water came into existence before creation of the world;  but someday, when we see our maker, we will have the opportunity to ask him few questions on the subject, but for now, let us drink it to quench our thirsty souls.

Water is resourceful to human existence;  when the LORD created the world, he separated the waters into two major parts, one part in the firmament of glory, cf. Genesis 1:6-7, which became the rain that waters the earth, the second part, he divided into seas, and called into existence the living creatures into the waters, that man could benefit from the waters as well;  thoughtful, isn't it!  Also, before the rain came upon the earth, the waters sprung forth as mist from the ground and watered the face of the earth, Genesis 2:6;  therefore, from the foundation of the world, water has been the major resources for human existence on earth;  (iv)  the most important fact is, no one can survive on the earth without drinking water for many days but can, and much longer without food,  therefore, let us look at the water with a different perspective that it is a major resource of life, the water in our hands every day contains the Spirit of the Living God, never waste water, but enjoy, it is a life-saving resource!

In reference to the above text, Jesus stood and cried, saying, if any man thirst, let him come unto me, and drink;  He that believeth on me, as the scripture hath said, out of his belly shall flow rivers of living water.  first of all, Jesus beckons thirty souls to come unto him, and drink, but he referred to the spiritual waters, (the Holy Spirit anointing), we can all testify to what the text is saying, that whenever the Holy Spirit comes upon believers, his presence flows into innermost spirits like the flowing waters, and deposits gifts of the spirits into their innermost spirits until they are filled with his powers, strength to go into the world, touch lives and make disciples for Christ;  therefore, if our stomachs are overflowing with the living waters, let us be encouraged to share our gifts, and talents to the benefit of the world, as we endeavor to do so, we receive more of his gifts from the wells of grace, and our wells of living waters never run dry but are replenish by Jesus forever and evermore.  Therefore, today, if there is anyone among us, who is thirty of the Holy Spirit, come to the Living Waters of Jesus Christ our Lord and Savior, drink, quench and refresh the thirsty soul! Peace be unto you!  Amen and Amen!

WORD OF WISDOM:

(KJV.)  Proverbs 20:22  Say not thou,  I will recompense evil, but wait on the LORD, and he shall save thee.
