(KJV.) ST. MATTHEW 12:24
(24) But when the Pharisees heard it, they said, This fellow doth not cast out devils but by Beelzebub the prince of the devils.
SLANDERING!
Brethren, Apostle James said, the tongue is a fire, a world of iniquity: so is the tongue among our members, that it defileth the whole body, and setteth on fire the course of nature and it is set on fire of hell. cf. James 3:6; therefore, let us not use our tongues to set fires in other people lives, but rather watch our tongues, what we say to ourselves and about others, such as, slanderings, gossips, back-bittings, rumor mongering, etc., for every spoken word, shall be tested with fire on the day of judgment; also, as Christ believers, the Holy Spirit lives within our hearts, our tongues are sharper swords, anointed members of our bodies to speak blessings, not curses into people lives.
In reference to the above text, Jesus healed the possessed with a devil, blind, and dumb; when the people saw his miracles, they were amazed, and said to one another, "Is not this the son of David?"; but when the Pharisees heard it, they said, "This fellow doth not cast out devils but by Beelzebub the prince of the devils."; brethren!; regardless of which generation we find ourselves, there are always critics among us, whenever something extraordinary happens in this world, they will analyze every aspect of what transpired, though they may not witness the events; funny! isn't it?; also, in a nutshell, when Nehemiah and his able men, repaired the walls of Jerusalem; guess what? Sanbalant, Tobiah, and Geshem his enemies, mocked, plotted against him, to slay him for doing the will of God, cf. book of Nehemiah; there is nothing new under the sun; currently, when miraculous events happen in people lives, enemies act likewise, they slander, mock, and defame their characters, allow the enemy to infiltrate hearts with critical, jealousy, envy and hatred spirits, this should not be so! rather, let us rejoice with those who are rejoicing and not speak negatively about them; do unto others, as we wish for ourselves, for what goes around comes around in this world; and we reap whatever we sow unto others, good or bad seeds.
CONCLUSION:
Dealy beloved, this text is an encouragement to believers, when we do the will of the Lord, we will face persecutions from enemies, but let us not give up on our faith, rather persevere to the finish lines; Jesus said, I will not leave you alone nor forsake you but will help you, strengthen you, and establish you in my righteousness forever and evermore; Jesus is faithful! let us put our trust in him! Peace be unto you! Amen and Amen!
WORDS OF WISDOM:
(KJV.) Ecclesiastes 11:6 In the morning sow thy seed, and in the evening withhold not thine hand: for thou knowest not whether shall prosper, either this or that, or whether they both shall be alike good.
