THE BREAD OF LIFE

(KJV.)  II PETER 3:9-10

(9)  The Lord is not slack concerning his promise, as some men count slackness; but is longsuffering to us-ward, not willing that any should perish, but that all should come to repentance.
(10)  But the day of the Lord will come as a thief in the night; in the which, the heavens shall pass away with a great noise, and the elements shall melt with fervent heat, the earth also and the works that are therein shall be burned up. 

BELIEVE IT OR NOT!

Brethren, I remember my youthful days, when my deceased grandmother sat me down on her lap, while she read the scriptures to the household every evening after dinnertime; at a time, she ministered about the second coming of Jesus Christ our Lord and Savior. how he will appear in the skies sometime soon, to take believers into eternity;  while she ministered, my deceased mother said, "but I have heard of his second coming at Sunday school class during my youthful years, when is he coming?";  my grandmother faithfully replied, this time around, he is coming very, very soon, sooner than you can imagine, this could happen tonight, tomorrow or the next day; believe it or not, Jesus is on his way for sure!

As believers, we have heard sermons pertaining to Jesus second coming over and over again;  whether we believe the urgency of the message or not;  truly! the time is upon us, Jesus will appear in the skies at any given time, the question we need to ask ourselves is, if Jesus should come today, are we ready to meet with him in the skies?;  if we are readily prepared to meet with him, I say great!;  however, we still have responsibilities to perform as Christians, that is, to minister the gospel of repentance, remission of sins, crucifixion, salvation through Jesus Christ, his second coming, and life everlasting, as we spread the gospel like wildfire into the entire world of darkness, Jesus will appear in the firmament of his glory, to receive believers home:      

Today, if there is anyone among us with a doubtful mindset, as to if Jesus will come back soon;  be encouraged to know that, the time was created for humanity, with the Lord, one day is a thousand years, and a thousand years, as one day: cf. 2 Peter 3:8;  therefore, no one knows for sure when this event will happen, but it will suddenly, within a twinkle of an eye;  therefore, let us live each moment of our lives in expectancy of his second coming; forgive the offenders, forget the offenses, rather, love one another as ourselves, serve the Lord with cheerfulness of heart, be kind, compassionate towards one another; these are few of his favourable attributes.

Jesus shed his blood, crucified, resurrected to saved the whole world;  as a result, there is free grace, he does not want any soul to perish in everlasting fires, but for everyone to come to him, repent of their sins, receive salvation, free grace, and eternal lives,  no one knows exactly when Jesus will appear in the skies to receive his believers into peace, joy, life everlasting;  therefore, if we are not ready yet, let's get ready now, time is running out; Jesus is coming back again very, very, soon, it could be now, today, or tomorrow!  Jesus loves you, come unto him!  Amen and Amen!
