(KJV.) II CORINTHIANS 4:6
(6) For God, who commanded the light to shine out of darkness, hath shined in our hearts, to give the light of the knowledge of the glory of God in the face of Jesus Christ.
LET THERE BE LIGHT!
In the beginning, God called into darkness light, and it came into existence: (Genesis 1:3); before the light came into existence, darkness was upon the face of the deep. The spirit of God moved upon the face of the waters, c.f. Genesis 1:2; and light existed. It shined to give daylight, alternating with darkness during the night fall.
When Adam fell, man inherited sin in the innermost spirit where the flesh lies, which wars against the spirit. Mankind was driven by evil thought and deed, Genesis 6:5; until God sent Jesus Christ to save the world. Inferentially, Jesus is the word spoken by God during creation: c.f. John 1:3. Therefore, if the spirit of Jesus Christ, the word dwells in the light, it is impossible for darkness to ever prevail.
In life, there are times when souls can experience the light and the dark, day and night moments. Regardless of how deep the darkness may be, look upon the face of Jesus Christ to see the light, salvation, peace, joy everlasting, through him. There is light in him forevermore. Amen and Amen!
