DAILY BREAD OF LIFE

(KJV.)  MATTHEW 18:3-6

(3)  And said,  Verily I say unto you.  Except ye be converted, and become as little children, ye shall not enter into the kingdom of heaven.
(4)  Whosoever therefore shall humble himself as this little child,  the same is greatest in the kingdom of heaven.
(5)  And whoso shall receive one such little child in my name receiveth me.
(6)  But whoso shall offend one of these little ones which believe in me, it were better for him that a millstone were hanged about his neck, and that he were drowned in the depth of the sea.

WHO IS THE GREATEST?

Brethren, to enter into the kingdom of heaven, we are to humble ourselves as little children, with innocent souls and minds without consciousness of morally good or evil behaviors of men or be anxious to acquire things of the flesh but focus only on pleasing our maker, Father of all creation and Jesus Christ our redemption, salvation and eternity

Case in point, at a time during the ministry of Jesus Christ, his disciples disputed among themselves and came to him, saying,  Who is the greatest in the kingdom of heaven?  Jesus then called a little child and set him in the midst of them,  (3)  And said,  Verily I say unto you. Except ye be converted, and become as little children, ye shall not enter into the kingdom of heaven.  Jesus, said unto his disciples, unless your hearts, minds and attributes are renewed as minds of little children who are still growing up with innocent minds and are still under parental guidance and controls, that you can be humble enough to receive instructions and wisdom to walk in godliness, and receive changes of good morally behaviors to be utilize in different forms with attributes of righteousness, you cannot inherit life everlasting;  however,   (4)  Whosoever therefore shall humble himself as this little child, the same is greatest in the kingdom of heaven. if we walk in meekness as younger children do, with fearful minds knowing that our parents will reprove us when we disobey them and go our different ways but try to please them by utilizing wisdom and instructions given unto us to walk in godliness and not be proud or think of ourselves as better than other people but live peaceably with all men; though we walk in humility on planet earth, we are exalted with crowns of glories in heavenly places forevermore.

WORDS OF INSPIRATION:

Points to ponder,  (5)  And whoso shall receive one such little child in my name receiveth me. sometimes, we adults get so mean to little children when they do wrong and cannot reproach them with the love of Christ: however, let us know that Jesus sees our relationships with all children and because they are helpless, he is more concern about their welfare on planet earth;  for their souls are precious in his eyes and watches over them at all times;  we, as parents and adults have been given authorities over their souls on planet earth to bring them up with godly attributes in the faith of his righteousness; therefore, let us do our duties as parents with the fear of the Lord in our hearts and receive all children with the love of Jesus Christ in our hearts; for we receive Christ whenever we embrace any child with tender loving cares.

Fruits of thoughts,    (6)  But whoso shall offend one of these little ones which believe in me, it were better for him that a millstone were hanged about his neck, and that he were drowned in the depth of the sea.  At times, we go over board with disciplining our children, to points where we beat up and demean them for wrong doings that are displeasing to Jesus Christ;  when we reproach our children, let us do so with wisdom and tender loving cares, in ways that can affect positive changes in their bad behaviors, that they can assimilate wisdom from our reproaches, not with unnecessary yelling with demean words, physical beatings and evil punishments;  if our reproaches are too strong against them, their souls can only feel frighten, defeated and cannot assimilate wisdom from our corrections but fear will overwhelms their souls, and they will continue to transgress the same and not get our reproaching points; however, to affect positive changes in our children lives, we are to reproach them still but without breaking down their inner spirits into agonies and bitterness but with kindness and tender loving cares, we will reproach and achieve our goals the same way and to change them for better with godliness; also, let us embrace all little children with tender loving cares of Jesus Christ our Lord and Savior forevermore.

CONCLUSION:

Brethren, today's text on humility is the key to attaining greater heights in the Kingdom of Heaven; if our focus is on our inheritances with Jesus Christ our Lord and Savior, then we are to emulate his humbleness; for he was baptized by John the Baptist who proclaimed him as mightier, (Matt. 3:11); he washed feet of his disciples though he was deity, (John 13:5);  he suffered in hands of evil men and died on the cross of Calvary to redeem all souls from bondage into salvation, grace and peace everlasting; today, he is seated on the right hand of the Father as an advocate for humanity;  What an amazing Grace!  Amen and Amen!

QUOTE OF THE DAY:

(KJV.)  1 John 4:4  Ye are of God,  little children, and have overcome them:  because greater is he that is in you, than he that is in the world.
