DAILY BREAD OF LIFE

(KJV.)  2 PETER 3:13-14

(13)  Nevertheless we, according to his promise, look for new heavens and a new earth, wherein dwelleth righteousness.
(14)  Wherefore, beloved, seeing that ye look for such things, be diligent that ye may be found of him in peace, without spot, and blameless.

PROMISES AND FULFILLMENTS

Brethren, as believers, our hope is the second coming of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, eternity, according to the promise of our Father:  throughout the scriptures, there are many promises of our Father that were or are being fulfilled;  from the time of the call of Father Abraham, present times, and going forward to eternity, promises of our Father are being fulfilled on earth;  therefore, if we have received promises of our Father, his promises are surely, they will come to pass at appropriate times:  for Jesus Christ does not procrastinate his promises to believers, whenever he promises, he fulfulls them; for example, he promise his disciples, book of John 14:26, that the comforter, which is the Holy Ghost, whom the Father will send in his name, will come after he goes away and teach them all things they need to know, bring all things he had thought them into their remembrance; Surely!  on the day of Pentecost when his disciples were gathered together in one accord, the Holy Ghost descended like a rushing mighty wind, filled the house where they were sitting,.......per book of Acts chapter 2;  Jesus Christ fulfilled his promises to his disciples appropriately;  therefore, if we have received promises from Jesus Christ, let us exercise patience, pray fervently, persevere, hope and wait for appropriate times for fulfullments, Jesus is still working to bring all things into proper alignments, manifestations of his words, he is always on time and available for all souls, both saved and unsaved; let us not doubt his promises, be anxious, impatient, worry, have anxieties over his promises; rather, rejoice, be exceedingly glad that we are highly favored for his mighty works, give glory to him and wait for the promise.

To wait for a promise, many times, seems to be tedious on human perceptions;  why?, because, to wait for something, is to be optimistic, hope, in expectation of something that ought to manifest, but has not yet manifested; after hope comes faith, believe that the promise is authentic, though it has not yet manifested, and trust the person who made the promise, that he is capable to fulfill the promise at the appropriate time:  also, when we receive promises from Jesus Christ our Lord and Savior; whether we are aware or unware, there is an enemy, the devil waiting to attack our faith grounds with deception, not to believe what we ought to believe, in other to wait patiently for the promise; when we fail to believe in the promiser, have the patience to wait for appropriate times of fulfilments of the promises;  at times, we mess up our own lives and lives of others:  case in point, Father Abraham received a promise of the birth of Isaac, as the years rolled away without any sign of the promise being fulfilled;  Sarah Abraham's wife adviced him to go after his own agenda, self effort, fulfilled the promise;  therefore, Abraham pregnated Hagar, Sarah's maid, an Egytian and Ishmael was born to the family;  what happened thereafter, eventually the child of promise, Isaac was also born, fulfilled the promise of our Father;  however, after Isaac was born, trouble started in the house of Abraham, therefore Abraham sent the bondwoman and his child Isaac away, refer to the book of Genesis chapter 16:  from generations to generations, there has never being peace but warfares between descendants of Ishmael, the bondwoman and Isaac, the freewoman:  the question is, what would have happened, if Abraham would have waited patiently for fulfilment of the promise?;  this is a point to ponder on!, this biblical narrative is also a lesson for those who have received promises of Jesus Christ, are in expectation rooms, to have patience, pray and wait for him to fulfill his promises: for, it is written in the book of Isaiah 40: 31, saying;  But they that wait upon the LORD shall renew their strength;  they shall mount up with wings as eagles;  they shall run, and not be weary;  and they shall walk, and not faint.;  therefore, let us wait upon our Father, be courageous and cheerful, he will strength our hearts, fulfill his promies through Jesus Christ our Lord and Savior. it is only a matter of time.

Therefore, if we are in waiting rooms, in expectations of promises of Jesus Christ; let us have hope, pray focus on Jesus Christ, the one who gave his words, will deliver the promise, trust and believe in him, continue to serve him with joyfulness of hearts, have innermost peace, without anxieties or self condemnations, be worry free in his presence; when promises are fulfilled, let us not forget to offer thanks, praises and adorations, glorify his Holy Name forevermore.

CONCLUSION:

Dearly beloved, today is a day of sorrows to many people, however, Jesus wants us to believe that whatever had caused these sorrowful times, are not important to him, what is important is those who are sorrowful to wipe away tears from their eyes, have peace, believe in him, that he will take good care, all will be well again, by his goodness and mercies that endures forever and evermore.  Amen and Amen!

QUOTE OF THE DAY:

(KJV.)  2 Peter 3:9  The Lord is not slack concerning his promise, as some men count slackness;  but is longsuffering to us-ward, not willing that any should perish, but that all should come to repentance.
