DAILY BREAD OF LIFE

(KJV.)  1 KINGS 3:11-13

(11)  And God said unto him,  Because thou hast asked this thing, and hast not asked for thyself long life; neither hast asked riches for thyself, nor hast asked the life of thine enemies; but hast asked for thyself understanding to discern Judgment;
(12)  Behold,  I have done according to thy works: lo, I have given thee a wise and an understanding heart; so that there was none like thee before thee, neither after thee shall any arise like unto thee.
(13)  And I have also given thee that which thou hast not asked, both riches, and honour: so that there shall not be any among the kings like unto thee all thy days.

PETITIONS GRANTED IN JESUS NAME!

(11)  And God said unto him,  Because thou hast asked this thing, and hast not asked for thyself long life; neither hast asked riches for thyself, nor hast asked the life of thine enemies; but hast asked for thyself understanding to discern Judgment;  Brethren, (i)  King Solomon, Son of David, ask the Father for understanding heart to judge his people, (I Kings 3:9);  what are our petitions to the Father, are our petitions within his will?  (ii)  the Father was greatly pleased that he had asked for understanding heart to discern judgement of his people;  are our prayer requests pleasing to the Father?  (ii)  King Solomon did not ask for himself long life, riches or life for his enemies;  are we praying negative prayers against our fellow brethren?  (iii)  but King Solomon prayed with concerns of the people at heart, to do the will of the Father righteously;  he received exceedingly, abundantly of blessings;  are our prayers for benefits of others than ourselves?  (iv)  King Solomon put the will of the Father first above his own heart desires, the Father favored him above all Kings before, ever and thereafter; therefore, let us Seek first the Kingdom of God, his righteousness, all other things will be added unto us. (Matthew 6:33);  brethren, when we seek the Father's face, let us approach him in humbleness of hearts, find out what his will is for our lives, present our heart desires within his will and not worry about blessings; for blessings will manifest when we find ourselves in the will of the Father through Christ our Lord and Savior; Jesus, focused on doing the Father's will while on earth, was rewarded with authorities over the whole universe, glorified in heavenly places forever. (Luke 2:49).

(12)  Behold,  I have done according to thy works: lo, I have given thee a wise and an understanding heart; so that there was none like thee before thee, neither after thee shall any arise like unto thee.  Brethren, the Father hears and answers prayers; when we pray;  we are to ask ourselves these questions:  Are our requisitions within the will of the Father?  Are our hearts in good standings with the Father?.  Are our handiwork pleasing to the Father?  In this text, the Father said to King Solomon, (i)  I have done according to thy works; believers, whatever we do on earth, good or bad, matters to the Father, when we approach him with our petitions, expecting favors from him, our hearts will come in play; therefore, let us search our hearts before we approach him in prayers;  (ii)  the Father loves all humanity same ways but does not favor his children same ways, he deals with them according to contents of their hearts; how they think about him as a Father, how they think about themselves in the faith of his righteousness, his will in their lives;  how they think, treat. talk about others;  how they show love, care about others; if their ways are pleasing to him; before they prayed, he will give them desires of our hearts, much more than what they desires;  in this case King Solomon received more than what he asked of the Father, because of his fear, trust and believe in the Father that he able to help him with wisdom to rule his people; brethren, let us present our prayers to him, with his will in our minds, written on hearts, have faith that if he hears our prayers, he will surely answer in his righteousness.

(13)  And I have also given thee that which thou hast not asked, both riches, and honour: so that there shall not be any among the kings like unto thee all thy days.  Brethren, the Father is faithful! King Solomon prayed for understanding heart to judge his people that he may discern good and bad, (I Kings 3:9);  the Father gave him other blessings which he did not ask for;  riches and honour that no other King on earth had ever attained; and not only riches of gold, horses, cattle, servants, yarns...etc.; but also blessings of wisdom, knowledge, understandings of all things, length of days; in this text, the Father decreed that no other King on earth will be able to attain, such riches and honour of King Solomon and it is so and will be forever.  Brethren, when we pray to the Father, we are to present our prayers with the will of the Father in our hearts and humble ourselves before him;  we are to pray on behalf of others who the Holy Spirit brings into our thoughts during our prayer sessions with the Father;  the Father knows what our heart desires are before we ask for them. (Matthew 6:8). Let us present all prayer requests through the Name of Jesus! (Colossians 3:17). the Father will surely answer all our heart desires and much more because we believe in Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior.

CONCLUSION:

Dearly beloved, today, favors of the Father, his goodness, mercies are upon our lives;  therefore, everywhere we go on earth, we will receive blessings of Abraham, Isaac, Jacob, David, Solomon; Jesus our Lord and Savior will shine lights of resurrection power of the Holy Spirit upon our lives; we will go out into the world and come back home safely; no weapon form against us will prosper, and every tongues that will rise against us in judgment we will condemn in the Name of Jesus!  This is our heritage as believers, followers of Jesus Christ, our righteousness is of him;  says the Father. (Isaiah 54:17).  Christ is standing at doors of our hearts, receive him, believe in him, have salvation, grace, peace, blessings forever and evermore!  Amen and amen!

QUOTES OF THE DAY:
