DAILY BREAD OF LIFE

(KJV.)  PSALM 1:1-3

(1)  BLESSED is the man that walketh not in the counsel of the ungodly,  nor standeth in the way of sinners,  nor sitteth in the seat of the scornful.
(2)  But his delight is in the law of the LORD, and in his law doth he meditate day and night.
(3)  And he shall be like a tree planted by the rivers of water, that bringeth forth his fruit in his season, his leaf also shall not wither;  and whatsoever he doeth shall prosper.

WORDS OF ENCOURAGEMENT:

Brethren, we receive happiness and blessings from the Lord, when we do not associate ourselves with evil doers, support their wrong doings, or dwell among arrogance and prideful people;  but take pleasure in reading and focusing our thoughts on the scriptures daily;  the psalmist says, we will flourish like fruitful trees by rivers of water with greener leaves and bears fruits in appropriate times, healthy, strong and successful.

Brethren,  this psalm speaks about characters, behaviors and conditions for godliness, spiritual guidelines to live godly lives;  its points are stated clearly to guide us on what we need to do, or not to do to find favors in the eyes of the LORD, and how to walk in righteousness through faith in our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ;  there are three categories of people mentioned above, which when we mingle with may hinder us from receiving blessings from the LORD, therefore, let us try to refrain ourselves from associating with these groups of people;  (i)  counsel of the ungodly,  not to take advise from people who do not believe or have any respect for our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ and his second coming, but stay away from their misleading and ungodly ways;  (ii)  standing in the way of sinners,  we are not to join multitude to do evil, when we hear or see others planning havoc, let us not join them but depart from their evil ways,  for it is wise to depart from evil and do good; (iii) sitting in the seat of the scornful;  scornful people are those who think better of themselves and feel that everybody else is not important, and speak ill of others no matter how successful they may be, we are children of righteousness;  let us speak well of others, uplift them with positive spirits;  for when we do so, we will be uplifted by the Lord,  when we bring others down with our evil words or works, we do it to ourselves for when they go down, we will also go down with them whether we realize that or not:  it does not speak well on our part to do evil to others;  however, let us engage ourselves in reading, and studying the word of the Lord daily;  if we do so, fruits of righteousness will spring up out of our souls, our lights will shine, we will not lack anything, but will be successful, strong and flourish with the goodness and mercies of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ forever.

Brethren,  let our conversations be full of wisdom, peace, faith, bearing fruits of righteousness of the Lord and Savior Jesus Christ;  (a)  let us denounce all works or evildoers and not partake in them;  (b)  let us not judge or speak negatively against ourselves, but always put ourselves in other peoples predicaments and try to understand why things happen, or why people do what they do, and pray for the Lord's mercy for all humanity;  (c)  let us try to avoid all arrogance and prideful behaviors, emulate Christ, love one another as ourselves, do to others as we will like others to do unto us;  (d)  let us try to live our lives with integrity, honor our words, do what is required of us, as followers of Jesus Christ;  and share information regarding our faith with others, walk uprightly as chosen generation, royal priesthood, an holy nation, a peculiar people, to shew forth the praises of him who hath called us out of darkness into his marvelous light forever.

Brethren,   sometimes, it is difficult to briskly walk away when we find ourselves among gossipers; however, we can politely excuse ourselves, so we do not allow infiltration spirits to penetrate our hearts with darkness; whether we are aware of their existence in this world or not, we cannot see them with our naked eyes, but they do operate everywhere day or night to infiltrate our lives with evil, but we are covered by redemption blood of Jesus;  there is nothing to fear, the devil is a liar! Jesus is coming soon to put all evil to shame on our behalf;  let us beware and detect their devises, they can infiltrate souls who are available at any given moment to do their evil works, therefore, let us always try to walk in spirit, when we wake up every mornings, let us pray for victory, protections upon our lives all day by the blood of Jesus!

Brethren,  today,  what is keeping us from receiving blessings from our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ?  have we fallen short because our ways are not pleasing to him?  let us ponder on these three points, *counsel of ungodly;  *way of sinners;  *  seat of scornful;  if we find ourselves in any of these three categories,  it is time to give our hearts completely to Jesus Christ,  his arms are wide open to receive us into his grace, it does not matter to him which group we find ourselves today,  he does not look at what we did or are doing wrong, but his grace is sufficient for everyone who believes in him as the Lord and Savior of all humanity forever and evermore.  Amen and Amen!

QUOTE OF THE DAY:

(KJV.)  James 4:7  Submit yourselves therefore to God.  Resist the devil,  and he will flee from you.
